Staff members are encouraged to contribute ideas and take an active role in creating engaging, educational experiences for children.\nRole Description The Child Care Assistant Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Lutz, FL. This role supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, supportive classroom environment, assisting with daily routines, and engaging 1-2 year old children in educational and play-based activities. Responsibilities include helping implement lesson plans, supervising children during indoor and outdoor play, assisting with meals and rest time, and maintaining classroom cleanliness and organization. The Assistant Teacher will help observe children’s behavior and development, communicate daily updates to the Lead Teacher, and collaborate with the team to ensure a positive experience for every child. The role also involves following center policies and licensing regulations, supporting behavior guidance, and participating in staff meetings and professional development.\nQualifications\n\n Demonstrated ability to work with young children in a group setting, including maintaining safety, supervision, and positive engagement.\n Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, families, and colleagues.\n Organizational and time-management skills to support classroom routines, transitions, and activity preparation.\n Basic understanding of early childhood development and interest in age-appropriate learning and literacy activities.\n Ability to follow instructions, collaborate with a Lead Teacher, and contribute to a team-focused environment.\n High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certification in early childhood education is preferred.\n Capacity to stand, bend, lift, and actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities throughout the day.\n Willingness to complete background checks, meet state licensing requirements, and participate in ongoing training.\n
