Russell Tobin is partnering with a materials science company to identify a Chemist for an opportunity in Maplewood, MN. Maplewood, MN Duration: 12+ Months with potential for extension Pay rate: $24—35/Hr. (Based on Experience) Key Responsibilities: Execute wet chemistry techniques focusing on Titrations, support Inductively Coupled Plasma and Ion Chromatography, including sample preparation, data analysis and use of Metrohm software . Maintain solvent and mobile phases, ensuring consistency and quality. High-volume of sample, stock standard and solution preparation with precision (molarity, normality, and dilutions). Document preparation and experimental parameters accurately, following written procedures (test methods, SOPs) utilizing LIMS systems for documentation and data management. Create written procedures, reports, and documentation. Requirements: BA/BS chemistry degree with 3+ years industrial laboratory expertise in Titration, experience in Inductively Coupled Plasma and Ion Chromatography, other general laboratory techniques Experience with automated titrations, including direct and back titrations. Experience with acid/base, redox, and anion titrations. Karl Fischer moisture analysis experience using coulometric, volumetric, and/or oven systems. Knowledge of differentiating ketone samples is particularly valuable. Experience with Metrohm titration systems is preferred. Method development experience is highly recommended. Hands-on industry experience is preferred, although the team is willing to train a candidate on more complex titration instrumentation if they have a strong foundational background.
