Technical Information Science Specialist

Medtronic seeks a Technical Information Specialist to support the Knowledge Center in Minneapolis, administering library systems, digital platforms, and information resources that enable employee access to research and knowledge assets. The role combines systems administration, customer support, and content management to optimize information accessibility and user experience.

Responsibilities

Administer and support library systems, digital platforms, and information resource technologies
Troubleshoot system, authentication, and content access issues with internal teams and vendors
Maintain SharePoint sites and information platforms; manage metadata and holdings records
Respond to employee inquiries and service requests regarding information resources and platform access
Develop documentation, guides, and training materials for effective use of information resources

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 1+ years in information science, library science, IT, or information services
Experience supporting information systems, digital content platforms, or content management systems
Ability to troubleshoot user access, authentication, and system-related issues
Strong organizational skills managing multiple priorities
Experience communicating with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
