Junior and Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate

Position Overview Fenwick & West is a leader in technology and life sciences law. We have offices in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Seattle, New York and Washington D.C. Our nationally recognized patent litigation group represents both patent holders and alleged infringers in federal jurisdictions throughout the United States and in the Patent Office on parallel post‑grant proceedings. We are seeking junior and mid‑level associates for our high‑tech and life sciences patent litigation practices in New York, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Silicon Valley, Seattle, and Washington D.C. offices. Ideal candidates will have one to six years of patent litigation experience, superior academic credentials, and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Degrees or industry experience in high‑tech or life sciences are preferred, but not required; we encourage applications from associates who studied or worked in a variety of fields and industries. Candidates must be barred in the state of the office to which they are applying or be eligible to sit or waive into the next bar exam. Qualifications 1–6 years of patent litigation experience. Superior academic credentials. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Eligible to practice law in the applicable state (barred or eligible for the next bar exam). Preferred: Degrees or industry experience in high‑tech or life sciences fields. Compensation & Benefits The anticipated salary range for this position is $235,000 – $390,000, with base salary varying by qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and location.
