Senior Recruiter

Your Role on the Team The Senior Recruiter is a member of UCI’s internal temporary staffing department. The Senior Recruiter uses employment and staffing techniques and concepts for employment, sourcing programs, and policies to fill short-term staffing needs for the UCI enterprise, including the Irvine campus, Health Sciences, and UCI Health. Employment and search efforts are diverse and complex in scope, requiring analysis of multiple factors and exercising considerable judgment and discretion to determine appropriate action. The Senior Recruiter works with internal and external contacts to manage temporary employees. Required Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures; awareness of how work may impact other areas. Expertise in recruitment, screening, interviewing, and referral processes. Knowledge of HR processes and forms and understanding of organizational and departmental principles. Collaboration with other areas of human resources related to the employment function. Understanding of employment law. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including needs assessment, candidate selection input, and problem‑solving. Demonstrated ability to identify problems, reason, and develop staffing solutions with business units. Ability to conduct complex analyses and develop recommendations. Strong public‑speaking skills for large audiences. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Technical proficiency with MS Word, Excel, HRIS databases, applicant tracking systems, and internet sourcing systems. Experience marketing temporary employment to future clients. Strong customer service skills. Experience providing performance feedback. Bachelor’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience or training. Minimum 5 years of recruiting experience. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written). Preferred Current working knowledge of UC policies. The expected pay range for this position is $79,200 – $111,300 (annual).
