Lead a team of 15+ electrical engineers designing, developing, testing, and deploying mission‑critical weapon systems for the U.S. Navy and Air Force. Work closely with program management, business development, chief engineers, project engineering, and operations. What You Will Do Conduct project leadership over the entire life cycle: bids, requirements capture, design, implementation, integration, verification, and certification. Provide technical leadership and accountability for team performance on projects. Drive electrical architecture, design, and requirement development for systems of varying complexity. Serve as management focal, responsible for hiring plans and staffing support of several programs. Guide scope, schedule, and budget management for electrical engineering activities; proficient with Earned Value Management System (EVMS). Lead, review, and provide guidance on bid and proposal activities for pursuits. Coach and mentor team members; build and retain talent from entry-level to highly experienced engineers. Communicate across Engineering, Program Management, internal leadership, and customers. Spend 50% of the week on technical tasks and project coaching; remaining time on people management, staffing, and career development. Monitor emerging technologies for potential adoption into products. What You Will Learn Leadership and Management skills: hiring, performance assessment, personnel management, project scope, schedule, and budget management. Cross‑disciplinary collaboration with Mechanical, Systems, Software, and Manufacturing teams in an agile release‑trained environment. Advanced Systems Integration: integrating complex Systems of Systems, multi‑enclave network systems, and mission processing systems (VLF, HF, V/UHF, SATCOM). Qualifications You Must Have Degree in STEM or equivalent; minimum 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, or advanced degree with minimum 7 years of experience. U.S. citizenship required; must obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Experience in military electronic communication equipment design and qualification to RTCA DO‑160 / MIL‑STD‑810 requirements. Strong technical expertise in electrical architectures, design, and requirement development. Experience with EVMS and Cost Account Management (CAM). Preferred Qualifications Prior management experience of a technical team and proven work in cross‑functional environments. Experience in all phases of electrical engineering product design: circuit card assemblies, aircraft harnesses, power distribution, electromechanical systems. Background in airframe/air‑system modification, integration, and airworthiness certification. Knowledge of platform design and aircraft modification on large fixed‑wing aircraft. Experience with military design and development for bid and proposal efforts. 3+ years of CAM/EVMS experience; 2+ years of Agile development methodology. Experience with ground/airborne communications systems, antenna design, and operation (VLF, HF, UHF, V/UHF, EHF/SATCOM). Understanding of networking, high‑power constructs, and interface definition.
