Maintains stock levels and product quality by monitoring dates, appearance, and storage temperature controls. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adheres to quality control and food safety standards by stocking and rotating baked goods. Assists bakery personnel with preparing, packaging, labeling, and maintaining product displays. Promotes product sales through suggestive selling initiatives. Stacks pallets and sorts product into correct locations according to Company standards. Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to safety procedures. Provides friendly, customer-service-oriented assistance by greeting customers, answering questions, and taking orders by phone or in person. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and calibrated scales. Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as a bread slicer and a commercial oven. Ability to learn new systems, methods, or processes. Ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools. Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to identify hazards and take appropriate action or warn others. Ability to report potential hazards to a supervisor when necessary. Education, Experience And Qualifications Minimum of 18 years of age required. Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for company business per policy. Food Handler certification required. Typically involves on-the-job training. Physical Demands Close and distance vision, depth perception, and ability to focus. Standing or walking for extended periods; use of hands for reaching and handling. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; occasional strenuous finger or hand movements. Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, or stooping; lifting up to 40 lbs continuously and up to 75 lbs occasionally. Attendance at work is required. Work Context And Environment Retail store setting with exposure to hot surfaces, cold conditions, heat, and damp environments. Exposure to equipment with sharp blades or edges and cleaning agents.
