Responsibilities Own the awards program calendar from category planning through the ceremony: book the venue, manage the run of show, and wrangle sponsors and winners Represent FLX Local Media at chamber mixers, festivals, and grand openings across the region Build and hold the schedule for two properties on overlapping calendars, each with printing deadlines, ballot windows, and sponsor commitments Write and edit the magazine copy and the publication's features, and commission photography Keep the community events calendar accurate and current Own the social accounts for both properties and set the tone Work with our Director of Sales to shape sponsorship tiers and content partnerships, and make sure what we sell is something we can deliver Use AI tools to move faster on drafting, research, editing, and first passes Qualifications You get energy from people. This job puts you in front of business owners, winery managers, chamber directors, event committees, photographers, and sponsors most weeks You are organized in a way other people can see, and can keep a dozen people on schedule without nagging them You can write real sentences about real places, not marketing copy that says nothing You are comfortable owning something.
