Quality Assurance Manager

A leading advanced manufacturing company serving the transportation and industrial markets is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and support a growing production operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)

• Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Manage APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and capability studies

• Conduct and oversee Gauge R&R activities and process audits

• Review and disposition non-conforming materials while ensuring timely corrective action responses

• Support customer quality requirements and maintain strong customer relationships

• Analyze quality data and identify opportunities to improve process capability and product performance

• Partner closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to improve quality and reduce variability

• Maintain compliance with quality standards and customer-specific requirements

• Mentor and develop quality personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

• Participate in production meetings and maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or related manufacturing leadership roles

• Strong experience with APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis

• Experience within automotive, transportation, plastics, composites, molding, or related manufacturing environments preferred

• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation

• Experience with ISO quality systems and customer quality requirements

• Proficiency using quality measurement tools and inspection equipment

• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience highly preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Hands-on management style with a willingness to work closely with production teams
