Pay

Earn up to $23.69 per hour total compensation , including $18.60 per hour base pay and a $5.09 per hour Health & Welfare Fringe Benefit paid in accordance with applicable federal wage determinations.

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Laborers / Landscapers to join our team. Employees will perform a variety of landscaping and grounds maintenance duties at federal government facilities throughout the Horsham, Warminster, and Philadelphia areas.

The primary work location will be the Willow Grove Airfield Base; however, employees may be assigned to other nearby federal facilities as needed.

The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to performing quality work. Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Overtime and Saturday work frequently available
• Typical work week of 3550 hours

Responsibilities

• Mow grass and maintain turf areas
• Trim and edge sidewalks, curbs, and landscaped areas
• Prune trees, shrubs, bushes, and hedges
• Remove weeds and unwanted vegetation
• Plant, water, and maintain flowers, trees, shrubs, and landscape materials
• Gather, remove, and properly dispose of litter and debris
• Operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge pruners, chainsaws, tractors, and other hand and power tools
• Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance projects
• Follow all safety procedures and federal facility security requirements
• Maintain a professional attitude while working around government personnel and facility occupants
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience preferred
• Experience operating hand-held and powered landscaping equipment preferred
• Reliable transportation is required
• Must be able to pass a federal background check
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and remain on your feet for extended periods
• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong attendance and dependability are required

Additional Information

Applicants must have reliable transportation. Employees may report to different federal facilities within the Horsham, and Philadelphia areas based on operational needs. Work is performed outdoors year-round and may require occasional overtime and weekend work.
