In this position, you are responsible for delivery and set-up of equipment at the delivery address. Educates the patient and/or caregiver on the safe use and maintenance of the delivered item.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdheres to company policies and procedures in regards to using personnel protective safety equipment and servicesAssists in resolving customer equipment problems under emergency conditionsAssists with implementation of quality improvement programs to meet company and JCAHO standardsAssumes on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policyCommunicates to supervisor any vehicle problems or conditions which would otherwise compromise the vehicle's safe operationsCompletes shipping papers when transporting hazardous materials in accordance to Rotech policy and proceduresCompletes written patient visit reports following setup and follow-up visits per company policyDelivers and educates patients on the safe use and maintenance of respiratory and HME equipment in the home or office settingDevelops and maintains working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company; and all applicable governmental regulationsDevelops basic reimbursement knowledge, completely documents all informationDevelops technical knowledge, as appropriate, of the HME or respiratory productsMaintains assigned company vehicle in a clean and safe working conditionMaintains delivery activity databaseMaintains home oxygen systems in patients' homes per company policyManages territory to reach service goals and delivers equipment and oxygen as required in accordance with industry standards and applicable federal, state and local governmental regulationsPrepares and maintains written company records to include invoices, work orders, manifests and logsProcesses all orders and required paperwork in a timely and accurate mannerReports equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policiesAbility to work cooperatively with othersDeal politely with patients and referral sourcesManage several tasks at oncePerforms other duties as assignedTravelTravel via company vehicle required to patient's homes for set-ups and reoccurring deliveryEmployment is contingent onBackground investigation (company-wide)Drug screen (when applicable for the position)Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)Required Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent, requiredPreferred Education and/or ExperienceExperience with medical equipment, preferredOne year of related work experience, preferredMedical terminology, preferredSkills and CompetenciesAccurately perform simple mathematical calculationsEffectively communicate in English;
