Customer Experience Associate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Smiles and greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns promptly and professionally. Follows company policies for customer checkout to increase satisfaction. Operates front‑end scanning equipment and cash register. Performs all checkout procedures, including efficient bagging of merchandise and proper placement in the customer’s cart. Maintains transaction accuracy and ensures correct payment collection, including cash, checks, electronic payment, and coupons. Applies cash drawer accounting procedures and maintains security measures to avoid overages or shortages. Adheres to store and legal guidelines regarding the sale of tobacco and alcohol. Keeps up to date with weekly ads, marketing promotions, and store layout to answer customer inquiries. Performs general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines. Disposes of trash properly and maintains equipment, counters, and display cases in a clean condition. Cooperates with co‑workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store operations. Continuously improves job performance and uses all company‑provided personal protective equipment (PPE) such as cut‑resistant gloves and safety cutters. May be called upon to assist in other departments as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education: Completed or working toward a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED). No prior experience required. RATE OF PAY AND BENEFITS Hourly pay starts at $15.00 and is up to $22.00.
