About the Position

Job Title: PACU RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 09:00 AM to 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1-year recent full-time equivalent experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support Must-Have: License and Certifications Description: Required qualifications include 1 year of recent full-time equivalent experience. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program. A valid Registered Nurse License is required in the state where care is provided. Basic Life Support certification is necessary. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is necessary. Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is necessary. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field. Procedural Sedation Competency is preferred. A minimum of two years of critical care experience with adult patients is preferred, particularly in the PACU environment. A minimum of two years of clinical care experience with pediatrics is preferred, ideally in ER, ICU, or PACU environments. A minimum of two years providing procedural sedation in an outpatient setting is preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in pain management injection procedures is preferred.
