As an Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant, you will work with and support our accounting department with daily accounting operations for the company, with the primary focus on processing payment of expenses in a timely and accurate manner. You will also assist in other duties as needed, including supporting the accountants in performing their duties. This is a Full-Time position located at: 65 Gray Road, Falmouth, ME with a regular schedule of 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.

Additional skills required and abilities:

Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivables including an understanding of basic accounting principles

Experience with month-end close processes

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with financial software, such as Sage Intacc, preferred

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational skills

Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and maintain confidentiality

Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Position Qualifications:

Two or more years of experience in accounting is preferred
