Embroidery Machine Operator

Portland, OR
Starting at $18.00/hour DOE
Full-Time | Weekly Pay | Career Growth

Do you have experience operating commercial embroidery machines? We're looking for a detail-oriented Embroidery Machine Operator to join our production team! If you have experience with Tajima, ZSK, or other commercial embroidery machines, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Set up and operate commercial embroidery machines
Load and troubleshoot DST embroidery files
Verify stitch quality, color sequencing, and design placement
Perform sample sew-outs before production runs
Monitor production for thread breaks, puckering, and quality issues
Trim, clean, fold, and package finished garments
Perform routine machine cleaning and maintenance
Monitor thread, backing, needles, and other production supplies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

Experience operating commercial embroidery machines (Tajima, ZSK, or similar preferred)
Knowledge of hooping techniques, thread tension, and machine adjustments
Basic computer skills and ability to upload embroidery files (DST)
Understanding of different fabrics and appropriate stabilizers/backings
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Ability to read production orders and follow instructions
Dependable with excellent attendance
Team player with a positive attitude
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

Stand and walk for extended periods
Lift up to 25 lbs
Frequently bend, reach, and stoop
Work in a manufacturing environment with moderate machine noise
