Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $2,548 per week

Job Overview TNAA TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse RN in the OR for an assignment in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Specialty: OR - Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hour days Employment Type: Travel Pay: 12 hour shifts with tax-free stipend to be determined. Responsibilities Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, providing pre‑ and post‑surgery care and education. Provide basic bedside care. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions. Serve as communication liaison between patients’ family members and the operating team. Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient. Initiate patient education plan as prescribed; teach patients and families about medication and home care needs. Circulating OR Nurse duties: Respond to comfort and safety needs of patients. Accurately care for and handle specimens. Monitor equipment used during surgery. Inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure. Scrub OR Nurse duties: Select and handle surgical instruments and supplies during procedures. Inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure. RN First Assistant duties: Assist physicians by delivering direct surgical care. Help control bleeding. Suture patients following surgery. Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Lift 20 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs as needed. Survive hazards from chemicals or infectious diseases in the OR environment. Qualifications BLS required; 3 years RN experience (including circulating or scrub nursing). Additional certifications may be required before assignment. Preference for 1‑2 years recent acute‑care experience.
