Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Telemetry unit requiring at least 1 year of recent telemetry experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in a 37-bed 3 Tower Surg/Tele unit
• Staffing includes 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, and 1 Unit Clerk on day shift; 8 RNs and 3 Patient Care Techs on night shift
• Patient ratios of 1:6, with 1:4 for Heart Cath patients
• Uses PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes
• Meditech EMR system in use
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry hospital experience required
• Experience with central lines and medication drips required
• Experience with Heart Cath recovery and bubble studies required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Care for patients recovering from cardiac catheterization and related telemetry monitoring needs
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently are valued
• Prior experience at large teaching facilities and Meditech experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates will not be considered
