Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist to help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. You will evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate patients in a long term care setting, utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice, document care per regulatory requirements, participate in care conferences, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Oklahoma physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- At least 1 year of Physical Therapist experience. New graduates considered only if they have completed Level II clinical experience beyond Level I observation.
- Experience in long term care or skilled nursing facility settings is required.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising PT assistants, rehabilitation aides, or students.
- Experience with wound care and use of supportive and assistive devices.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems and recording treatment minutes per regulatory requirements.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 8 hour days, 35 GWW.
- Weekend requirement: None.
- Must be able to obtain necessary DME or supplies as required by clinical practice.

Impacting Patient Care
You will perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized plans of care following APTA and state practice acts. Responsibilities include administering manual techniques, therapeutic exercise, ambulation training, modalities, wound care, and use of assistive devices. You will document interventions and outcomes, adjust plans based on progress, provide discharge summaries, and participate in required facility and company trainings and meetings. You will communicate effectively with supervisors, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care.
