A Pediatric Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in Farmington, NM at a 198-bed, Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The hospital's services include a dedicated pediatric unit, rehabilitation department, childbirth center, cancer center, and inpatient behavioral health unit, among others.
The role. This is a full-time outpatient pediatrics occupational therapy position within the hospital's Rehabilitation Department. The therapist will carry a caseload of 10–14 scheduled patients per day, working with a pediatric population that includes children and infants presenting with diagnoses such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism, and prematurity-related conditions. Documentation is completed in Cerner. The position is supervised by the site coordinator for the occupational therapy department.
What we're looking for.
- Education meeting New Mexico State Licensing Board requirements for Occupational Therapists
- Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
- New Mexico State Occupational Therapist License — open to candidates who do not currently hold New Mexico or Compact licensure; must obtain prior to start
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Pediatric outpatient experience preferred
Schedule. Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break (12:30–1:00 PM).
Compensation. $32.43 - $51.88/hr plus $2 sign-on bonus
