About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an ER setting License: Current RN license (Indiana or compact) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting. - Current RN license in Indiana or compact. - BLS (AHA only) required. - ACLS (AHA only) required. - PALS required. - ENPC required. - TNCC required. Description: General job duties include emergency department triage, prioritization, ACLS, PALS, and emergent life-saving interventions. Care involves patients of all ages. Equipment utilized in the department includes electronic charting systems, cardiac monitors, basic life-saving equipment, and computerized medication systems. Nurse to patient ratio is 4 patients to 1 nurse. The unit has 15 beds. Work schedule includes three 12-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend and holiday coverage required. There is no floating to other units or departments. Dress code is Caribbean Blue. Orientation will involve departmental training.
