Senior Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Malvern, PA. The candidate will build scalable streaming data pipelines while optimizing ETL workflows and ensuring data quality, security, and performance.

Rate Range: $51/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Senior Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable event-driven data pipelines using AWS services such as Kinesis, Kafka/MSK, Lambda, and Glue.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Python and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Implement streaming data solutions with robust error handling, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Design and manage data lakes and data warehouses using S3, Athena, Glue Catalog, and Redshift.
• Ensure data quality, security, governance, and observability across all data platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead design reviews, and contribute to best practices and CI/CD automation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in data engineering with strong exposure to cloud-based data platforms.
• Deep expertise in AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis/MSK, Redshift) with hands-on experience in building event-driven and streaming data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark for ETL/ELT development, along with experience in data modeling, performance optimization, and CI/CD automation.

Pay Details: $51.00 to $56.00 per hour
