Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Days

Location: Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 12-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12 hours, Day Shift (08:00 - 20:30), every other weekend required, holiday coverage as scheduled.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, with strong skills applicable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This ER position involves managing a wide range of patient diagnoses across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, in a non-trauma setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and triage patients in the emergency department.
• Provide emergency care, including advanced life support and resuscitative measures.
• Manage various patient conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation.
• Participate in staff rotation within the ER and the observation unit as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI.
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-5 preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred but not mandatory.
