Company DescriptionLeading Financial Services firm in Florham Park, NJ looking to hire top a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst.Job DescriptionTo adequately review, prepare, and disclose the financial statements for the Bank to members of senior management, SEC as well as other relevant external parties.RESPONSIBILITIES• Preparation and input of financial statement results for the company's SEC requirements as well as board packages• Supervise and direct the preparation of month end schedules for management review such as balance sheet, income statement, monthly yield calculations and key performance metrics• Preparation of the statement of stockholders' equity, cash flows and specific footnotes to the financial statements, such as securities, earnings per share and summary of accounting pronouncements• Review the work performed for quarterly schedules such as allowance for loan loss, discounted cash flows, deferred fees and cost analysis, and FAS 157 analysis on impaired loans• Responsible for the preparation of beneficial ownership forms required to be filed with the SEC• Work closely with director financial reporting in preparing policies, procedures and outline of internal controls• Assist in ad hoc financial reporting disclosure meetings for senior management• Maintain quarterly and annual binders for the 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, S-4 including auditors representation/management letterQualifications• BS degree in accounting or equivalent• Background in public accounting preferred, specifically with a Big 4 firm; CPA preferred• General ledger and reporting package experience helpful• Accounting research savvy with strong knowledge of GAAP rules and regulations, as well as the financial statement close process; experience should include consolidations and financial statement preparation• Knowledge of and experience with policies, procedures and systems of internal control; familiar with SOX 404• Ability to deliver high quality results• Strong written and verbal communication skillsAdditional Information100k Plus BonusSummaryFunction: Accounting/AuditingExperience level: Mid-Senior LevelIndustry: Financial Services
