Clinical Pharmacist PRN

Job Summary We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide clinical pharmacy services for all patients and ensure the safe procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution, and control of all medications at HCA Florida Northside Hospital. Responsibilities Coordinate and assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical pharmacy programs to meet the needs of the patient population and community. Provide clinical pharmacy support and execute clinical pharmacy programs for all patient areas. Review medication orders and technician work to ensure appropriateness of drugs ordered, dosage, route, and interactions; adjust medications as appropriate for patient condition according to policy. Ensure medications are safely dispensed to patients in accordance with age and other applicable requirements. Monitor narcotic transactions by verifying all controlled substances dispensed and reconciling quantity/type of narcotics leaving the pharmacy. Assist the department in addressing physician consults as needed and provide timely, reliable drug information from available sources. Communicate effectively with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs. Qualifications Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Experience as a pharmacist in an acute‑care hospital setting or completion of a general pharmacy practice residency preferred. Current Florida pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain one. Eligible to sit for North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX). Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills, the ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency with PC skills.
