Material Handler

Job Description:

• Shift 1 coverage is from 6am - 3pm. Expected hours: ~60 hours/week on average
• Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
• Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
• Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
• Primarily data entry-focused role within a warehouse environment
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams
• Support shipping/receiving processes as needed
• Occasional light physical work (not heavy-lifting focused; packers handle most physical tasks)

Qualifications:

• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Experience with Excel
• Good communication skills (email, cross-team coordination via Outlook)
• Prior warehouse experience (2+ years preferred)
• Dependable, proactive, and willing to learn
• Exposure to SAP (not required, basic familiarity is sufficient)
• Prior shipping/receiving experience desired
• Open to various industry backgrounds (not limited to manufacturing)
• Warehouse experience is prioritized over management/ERP-heavy backgrounds
• Candidates with long-term commitment and reliability
