Financial Analyst

At Lam, as a Financial Analyst, you will be a trusted advisor to the business and influence sound business decisions based on your expertise in interpreting data, performing analysis, modeling, and understanding financial outlook. As a key member of Lam's North America Region Finance team and reporting to a Sr. Director, this position offers an exciting role in a high growth environment. This position involves managing financial responsibilities for a major global account, including P&L responsibility, forecasting, and supporting strategic initiatives in a matrixed environment. The role requires collaboration across various teams and systems to ensure standardized reporting aligned with company objectives. This role has high visibility with Account General Manager and offers the opportunity to work with different groups within and outside of North America Region. This role will have strong interaction with finance systems such as SAP and Workday Adaptive. This is an individual contributor role.

The Global Finance Group drives financial strategies based on expert understanding of Lam's breakthrough technologies, the semiconductor market, and the global business environment. They manage our company's financials and relationships with our investor community to ensure we have the strong financial foundation to fuel innovation and growth.

What You'll Do

• Perform financial forecasting, consolidation, reporting, and operational metrics tracking in support of financial cycles: Quarterly Reviews, Annual Operating Planning (AOP), and Balance Sheet Review (BSR).
• Manage quarter-end close processes including variance analysis and actuals vs. forecast reporting of headcount, Opex, Capex.
• Perform financial analysis to influence decisions and support corporate initiatives.
• Prepare and publish reports creating visibility to spending trends and headcount to make spending prioritization recommendations.
• Partner with Business Operations to identify and support or drive profitability initiatives and projects.
• Identify and lead business process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Build trusted business relationships, gain deep understanding of the business, and act as an advisor providing actionable insights from growth opportunities to cost savings.
• Support internal and external audits, as well as controls and compliance related activities.

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master's degree or equivalent certification (MBA, CPA, CFA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) with 6+ years' experience; or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, dashboards, and data visualization.
• Attention to details and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload; effective multi-tasking skills are vital.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of US GAAP
• Prior experience within technology, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
• SAP and Business Objects experience is highly desirable or demonstrable strong systems skills.
• Working knowledge of Workday Adaptive
• Experience in business intelligence (BI) technologies, tools, and concepts.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional, and international teams including occasional flexible schedules to accommodate time zones.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
