Physicians work alongside experienced advanced practice providers, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective treatment.Position SummaryThe facility is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join its dynamic Emergency Department team in Dothan, Alabama. This role involves evaluating and treating a wide range of acute and critical conditions in an emergency setting. Physicians will work a shift-based schedule with support from APPs, nursing staff, and on-call specialists.The group is open to 2026 Emergency Medicine residents as well as experienced physicians.Essential Position ResponsibilitiesProvide emergency medical care to patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses or injuriesPerform rapid assessments, stabilization, and treatment of critical conditionsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and EKGsPerform emergency procedures such as intubation, central lines, suturing, and trauma careCollaborate with specialists for admissions, consultations, and transfersManage patient flow efficiently while maintaining high-quality care standardsDocument all patient encounters accurately within the electronic health record (EHR)Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental protocolsCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams in high-pressure situationsQualificationsEducationM.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an Emergency Medicine residencyLicensure & CertificationBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency MedicineEligible for or holding an active Alabama medical licenseCurrent BLS, ACLS, and ATLS requiredExperienceOpen to 2026 graduating residentsExperienced Emergency Medicine physicians also encouraged to applySkillsStrong clinical and procedural skills in emergency careAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environmentExcellent decision-making and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication and teamwork skillsCommitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered careCompensation and EnvironmentCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plansMalpractice coverageCME allowance + paid CME timePaid time off and reimbursement for licenses and professional fees
