USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app. Job Overview Keene State College’s Education Department is seeking qualified applicants to teach Elementary Methods II (EDUC‑322) for the fall 2026 semester. The position requires availability to teach in‑person during the day (Monday, Wednesday 8am-3pm; Friday 8am-12pm). It also supports KSC students at local elementary schools during some of the Monday and Wednesday sessions. This is a part‑time, non‑benefited position. Course Description Elementary Methods II explores best practices for teaching math, science, and engineering while integrating literacy. Students learn practical approaches to creating learning environments that foster mathematical and scientific thinking and engineering design. The course covers standards‑based unit planning, an emphasis on student learning, reflection on teaching, and practical classroom management skills. Department Mission Explores the dynamic nature of the teaching and learning process; Demonstrates professional and ethical behaviors that meet high standards; Understands the world from multiple perspectives; and Contributes to a just and equitable world. Duties / Responsibilities (50%) Design and deliver course content for credit courses. (45%) Prepare lesson plans and course materials, assess student learning, assign grades, refer students to support services, and provide supplemental instruction and mentorship. (5%) Abide by USNH and KSC policies and participate in appropriate department/unit meetings. Requirements Earned Master’s degree in Education or related field by August 1, 2026. Minimum of five years full‑time teaching experience in public schools at the elementary level (K‑6). Preferred Qualifications Background in math and science content and pedagogy. Experience teaching in an inclusive environment with diverse student populations (SES, IEPs and 504 plans, ELL, cultural and racial/ethnic contexts). College teaching experience. Supervision experience.
