Role Description The Vendor Account Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Sacramento area, with a mix of on‑site work and some work‑from‑home flexibility. This role is responsible for managing day‑to‑day relationships with vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for product, pricing, and operational inquiries. Typical responsibilities include onboarding new vendors, maintaining accurate product and pricing information, negotiating terms and promotions, and monitoring vendor performance against service and quality expectations. The Vendor Account Manager will collaborate with internal teams such as merchandising, marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure product availability, resolve issues, and optimize sales. The role also involves analyzing sales and margin data, preparing performance reports, and identifying opportunities to improve assortment, profitability, and vendor collaboration. Qualifications Experience in vendor or account management, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or home improvement. Strong skills in relationship building, negotiation, and conflict resolution with external partners and internal stakeholders. Proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis tools to track sales, margins, inventory, and vendor performance. Ability to manage multiple vendor accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills for emails, calls, and presentations. Comfort working in a hybrid setting in the Greater Sacramento area, with reliable access to both office and remote work environments. Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing product catalogs, pricing updates, and contract terms. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, online merchandising, and digital retail best practices is a plus.
