This role focuses on identifying opportunities, presenting YESCO’s custom signage solutions, and guiding customers through the sales process from initial contact to project handoff. Success in this position requires strong relationship-building skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities while delivering a high level of customer service.A Day in the LifeIn this role, your day may include prospecting for new business, meeting with customers on-site, and presenting custom signage solutions. You spend time preparing proposals, following up on leads, and coordinating with internal teams to move projects forward. Throughout the day, you manage your sales pipeline, respond to customer inquiries, and build relationships that lead to repeat business. The role requires strong organization, consistent communication, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales cycle.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a pipeline of new and existing customer opportunities to meet sales targetsConduct sales presentations and site visits with prospective and current customersIdentify customer needs and recommend appropriate custom signage solutionsPrepare and present proposals, pricing, and project scopesBuild and maintain long-term relationships with customers to support repeat business and referralsGenerate new business through prospecting, networking, and cold outreach when neededManage assigned territory and schedule sales activities to maximize efficiency and coverageCoordinate with internal teams, including design, estimating, permitting, and project management, to support project executionTrack and manage sales activities using company systems and toolsAddress customer questions, concerns, and objections in a professional and timely mannerMaintain a high level of professionalism in all customer and internal interactionsStay informed on industry trends, materials, and local code requirements related to signageSupport project handoff to internal teams to ensure accurate execution of sold workPerform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management, as needed to meet business needsRequirements and QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience requiredSign industry sales experience strongly preferredProven ability to develop new business and close sales opportunitiesStrong presentation, negotiation, and communication skillsAbility to build and maintain effective customer relationshipsExperience managing multiple opportunities and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environmentUnderstanding of sales processes, including prospecting, qualification, and closingAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and accountabilityBasic math skills and the ability to prepare accurate pricing and proposalsWorking knowledge of sign materials, construction methods, and finishes preferredFamiliarity with local sign codes and permitting processes preferredProficient in basic computer operations, including internet navigation and digital file managementWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and ExcelFamiliarity with Google Workspace tools, including Docs, Sheets, and DriveAbility to operate within Windows-based systems and standard business software environmentsAbility to learn, understand, and effectively use internal systems such as NetSuite, Workday, and other company software toolsStrong attention to detail when entering, reviewing, and managing digital informationValid driver’s license requiredAbility to travel within the assigned territory as neededAbility to work in an office and field environment, including visiting job sites in varying weather conditionsFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and perform a variety of tasks as neededCompliance StatementYESCO is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
