Flu vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1. Exemptions must be approved. Must be able to "hit the ground running." Recent experience with electronic medical records is highly preferred. Responsible for evaluating medication orders or prescriptions for potential clinical and operational problems. Participation in investigational protocols as needed is expected. Exercise judgment in prioritizing daily activities and demonstrate fiscal responsibility in planning and utilization of resources. Support continuing education by presenting in-services and lectures to staff. Assist in developing and certifying competencies in relation to delegated roles and responsibilities in patient care practice areas. Participate in quality assurance activities, documenting problems and recommending resolutions. Monitor drug therapy through chart reviews and interactions with healthcare professionals, intervening when appropriate. Participation may include the coordination of efforts with operational staff. Engagement in precepting undergraduate pharmacy students is part of the role. No weekend hours required. There are no call requirements associated with this position.
