Senior Truck Dispatcher

Senior Truck DispatcherCowan is seeking a Senior Truck Dispatcher in Burlington to oversee owner-operator truck drivers and ensure customer freight is successfully delivered. The Senior Truck Dispatcher will serve as the primary point of contact for owner-operators and provide coaching to them on service performance, fleet utilization and on-time deliveries.Responsibilities:Address safety and performance concerns with owner-operators and provide resources for problem resolution.Ensure owner-operators are compliant with DOT regulations and requirements.Confirm freight is dispatched and delivered on time, and communicate with the customer if there are delays.Address concerns from customers and escalate issues when needed.Be responsible for documentation related to driver pay and customer invoices.Perform regular performance reviews and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.Ensure equipment utilization is optimized.Skills and qualifications:Associate degree in a relevant field.A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of DOT regulations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent customer service skills.Strong problem-solving skills.Strong leadership skills.Pay and benefits:Medical, dental and vision insurance.401(k) savings plan with company match.Company-paid life insurance.Short- and long-term disability.Starting Salary is $55,000 - $60,000 per year based on experience.Paid time off.Cowan's inclusive culture:Our history has taught us that treating everyone with dignity and respect is vital to our ongoing success.
