We're on an exciting mission to reduce inefficiencies and enable a secondary marketplace for renewable energy equipment, and we're doing it in an emerging segment of renewable energy where strong operators can set the standard for growth and innovation.Bluewater is looking to bring on a Senior Sourcing Specialist to contribute to growing the sourcing and acquisition of Renewable Energy equipment at Bluewater, with a focus on sourcing solar panels and identifying site solutions. In this role, you'll take ownership of identifying supply opportunities, building and managing supplier relationships, and negotiating commercial terms. You'll work closely with sales and leadership teams to align sourcing strategy with market demand, and play a key role in expanding this business unit. The role is well suited for a self-motivated, commercially minded person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable owning the full purchase cycle.Key Responsibilities:Identify, source, and qualify new surplus equipment opportunities across the supply chain, through outbound outreach to asset owners, developers, EPCs, and other potential suppliers to generate leadsOwn and manage the full purchase cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and closingBuild and manage long-term supplier relationships, working with suppliers to understand their unique pain points and creatively outline solutionsNegotiate pricing, terms, and purchase agreements to secure favorable outcomes for both the Company and its partnersDraft, review, and issue purchase orders to ensure accuracy and alignment with negotiated termsBuild and maintain a pipeline of sourcing opportunities, tracking pricing, product availability, and deal progress within CRM systemsWork closely with sales and operations teams to anticipate project needs and ensure supply readinessRepresent Bluewater at conferences, trade shows, and supplier meetingsQualifications:3–5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing in a B2B environmentBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceProven experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating supply agreementsStrong analytical skills with an ability to evaluate market data, pricing, and inventory trendsFamiliarity with CRM tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, proactive, and comfortable making independent decisionsExperience with cold outreach and vendor onboarding is a plusWillingness to travel for trade shows, vendor visits, and other industry eventsBenefits:Opportunity for rapid career growth and clear ownershipHealth benefits: Bluewater provides a Gold PPO medical plan, with 100% of employee medical, dental, and vision premiums coveredTeam-oriented workplace: Bluewater has a team-first ethos.
