Position Overview: Responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and hiring qualified Journeyman Electricians to meet the needs of our operations. Collaborate closely with the Electrical Operations Team on labor forecasting, manage third-party agency partnerships, and work alongside the marketing team to develop effective recruitment campaigns. This role requires a strong understanding of the electrical trade, a passion for recruiting, and the ability to work strategically across departments to ensure a continuous pipeline of skilled electricians. Key Responsibilities: Labor Forecasting & Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with the operations team to understand workforce requirements and upcoming project needs. Assist in labor forecasting to determine the number and types of electricians required, ensuring that staffing levels align with business needs. Provide regular updates on recruiting progress and ensure that recruitment activities are aligned with business forecasts and timelines. Recruitment & Talent Sourcing: Proactively source and recruit Journeyman Electricians through various channels, including job boards, trade associations, networking, and industry events. Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to identify and attract qualified electrician candidates. Conduct interviews, assessments, and skills evaluations to ensure candidates meet the qualifications required for the roles. Build a network of potential candidates to create a pipeline of qualified electricians for future needs. Managing Third-Party Agency Partnerships: Establish and manage relationships with third-party recruiting agencies and staffing firms that specialize in the electrical trade. Monitor the performance and effectiveness of third-party agency partnerships to ensure quality candidates are being provided in a timely manner. Understand contracts and ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions. Collaboration with Marketing for Recruitment Campaigns: Partner with the marketing team to create and execute targeted recruitment campaigns that highlight the benefits of working with Knobelsdorff and attract top-tier talent. Assist in the development of employer branding materials, including job postings, promotional content, and social media campaigns specific to Journeyman Electricians. Ensure recruitment marketing materials are aligned with the company's values, culture, and the specific needs of the Journeyman Electrician roles. Credential, Hours, and Licensure Verification: Verify candidates’ credentials, including state or local Journeyman Electrician licenses and certifications, ensuring all qualifications meet regulatory requirements. Confirm that candidates meet required hours of experience to be eligible for licensure in the respective region. Ensure all candidates hold current and valid licenses and certifications before hire. Stay updated on licensing requirements and regulations in different jurisdictions to ensure proper adherence to industry standards. Establish & Maintain Relationships with Training Programs, Trade Schools, and Industry Associations: Establish and maintain relationships with local training programs, trade schools, and industry associations to create a consistent pipeline of potential candidates for future hiring needs. Work with educational institutions and apprenticeships to create opportunities for students and recent graduates to enter the workforce. Attend career fairs, training events, and other industry-related functions to promote the company and attract up-and-coming talent in the electrical field. Interdivisional Recruitment Partnerships: Partner with other divisional recruiters to share available candidates and ensure a seamless recruitment process across various teams and business units. Collaborate on internal candidate referrals and facilitate cross-divisional mobility for qualified electricians, helping to match talent to the most appropriate roles within the company. Ensure effective communication and knowledge-sharing between divisions to enhance the overall talent acquisition strategy. Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process, from initial contact to onboarding. Communicate effectively with candidates, providing clear expectations and timely feedback throughout the interview process. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all recruiting activities comply with applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities, candidate interactions, and job requisitions. Provide regular reports to senior management on recruitment efforts, labor market trends, and workforce needs.
