Contract Trademark Attorney (Richmond)

Fully remote contract trademark attorney; immediate start

Fresh IP is seeking a contract trademark attorney to assist us part-time, primarily with trademark prosecution matters. You would be joining a team of three trademark attorneys and three trademark paralegals in the firm's trademark department. We work with some of the world's biggest and fastest-growing brands and have a busy trademark docket, currently handling thousands of trademark applications/registrations and dozens of active contested proceedings.

Key features:

• Fully remote
• Immediate start
• Approximately 15–20 hours weekly initially, with flexibility based on workload
• Independent handling of substantive office-action responses, clearance opinions, prosecution review, and client/paralegal questions
• Hourly pay of $75–$110/hour, depending on experience
• TTAB experience welcome, but not required
• Availability during regular scheduled hours to collaborate with Fresh team members

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree and active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• Expertise in Trademarks and Trademark Law, experience with USPTO procedures
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to provide clear, business-focused advice.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a remote setting.
• Comfort with remote collaboration tools and IP management software; prior experience in a distributed or virtual team is a plus.
