Note: The below lists are not ranked in order of importance Essential Functions Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude and conversation Attend meetings and in-services as required Recommend long-term adjustments, changes, additions, and deletions in the career-technical education program Maintain working relationship with community and state agencies and area businesses, industries, and labor organizations in order to provide appropriate training Ensure safety of students Work to identify and define local job opportunities and the role of the schools in meeting these opportunities Coordinate all work components Interact in a positive manner with staff, students, parents, and community Maintain respect at all times for confidential information, e.g., cumulative folders and IEP's Make contacts with the public with tact and diplomacy Responsible for the collection, review, and submission of all forms and reports relative to career-technical education to appropriate state agencies Assist in disciplinary procedures and actions and record keeping Coordinate requests for repairs to lab equipment Oversee the distribution and inventory control of all supplies and equipment used by vocational students Maintain membership in and participate in the affairs of professional societies devoted to the advancement of vocational education Assist in the recruitment of students Establish an advisory committee Coordinate the gathering, selecting, and analysis of data with respect to jobs available Other Duties and Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Able to acquire the appropriate certificate from the Ohio Dept. of Ed.
