Mammography Tech - Outpatient Clinic

Position/Specialty: Mammography Tech - Outpatient Clinic Travelers are required to perform a minimum of 20 screening mammograms per day. Diagnostic mammography exams may be performed as the schedule allows; however, the primary focus of this assignment is screening mammography. Fast paced outpatient facility that requires autonomy, effective teamwork, great communication, a positive attitude, and flexibility.

Daily Caseload: 55 Shift: 5x8s, 8:30am to 5:00pm Weekend REQ: No Is on-call REQ? No Overtime - Technologist must be willing to shift work hours if overtime is involved. For example, if the tech works beyond her contracted shift, she may be asked to come in late the next day to eliminate overtime. Will clinician float within scope meet facility needs? Yes Floating Req to Sister Facilities: Yes, travelers are required to float to facilities throughout the Charleston area as needed.

Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1+ years First-timers accepted: Yes Cert/License Requirements: BLS; ARRT (M); SCRQSA (M) SC state license Special Requirements: MUST KNOW HOW TO OPERATE SIEMENS REVELATIONS/HOLOGIC DIMENSION EQUIPMENT - HARD REQUIREMENT. Must perform Screening and diagnostic mammograms. Radiation Badge Req (Y/N): No Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? Approval prior to assignment but not guaranteed. Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate Pending State License accepted: No, SC license must be in hand prior to start RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be disclosed at submission. Approval will be based on the operational needs of the department. Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Orientation hours 8:00am to 4:30pm; Monday thru Friday. ** STORM TEAMS** Travelers should be aware that all employees and contractors are assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment. Please note -- Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August - October.
