Our work spans talent representation, entertainment publicity, brand communications, corporate entertainment strategy, partnerships, and events, combining strategy, access, and execution across every platform people consume content.About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic, media-savvy Vice President of Strategic Communications to join our senior leadership team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to a high-profile roster of clients spanning film & television, professional sports, alternative investments, and kids & family entertainment. You will lead multi-disciplinary communications teams, drive integrated PR strategies, and help shape the public narratives of some of the most recognized brands and personalities in the entertainment industry.This is a highly visible role that requires equal parts creative vision, business acumen, and executive presence. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, excels at building lasting client relationships, and knows how to navigate complex reputational challenges with confidence and discretion.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Strategy & CounselServe as primary strategic advisor for a portfolio of accounts across entertainment verticals, including film, TV, sports, kids & family media and financial sector entities backing these verticalsDevelop and execute comprehensive, integrated communications strategies aligned with each client's business objectives and brand identityProvide executive-level counsel on reputation management, crisis communications, and high-stakes media situationsLead campaign development and executionMedia Relations & StorytellingCultivate and maintain deep relationships with journalists, editors, bookers/producers and content creators across entertainment, business, trade, and consumer mediaIdentify and secure earned media opportunities that advance client narratives across print, digital, broadcast, and podcast platformsOversee the development of compelling press materials including pitches, releases, talking points, op-eds, and long-form contentLead message development and media training for C-suite executives, talent, and public-facing spokespeopleTeam Leadership & Agency GrowthManage, mentor, and inspire a team of directors, managers, and coordinators, fostering a culture of excellence and professional developmentPartner with agency leadership on new business development, including pitching prospective clients and expanding existing relationshipsCollaborate cross-functionally with PMK and ACC teams to deliver integrated campaignsServe as an ambassador for the agency's culture, values, and capabilities in the marketplaceCross-Sector ExpertiseNavigate the nuanced communications needs of clients across diverse sectorsMonitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and cultural conversations to provide proactive, forward-thinking counselSupport crisis communications and sensitive issues management with discretion, speed, and sound judgmentRequirementsQualifications10+ years of public relations or communications experience, with at least 4 years at a senior level in an agency environmentDemonstrated track record of success across entertainment, sports, media, or adjacent industriesProven ability to manage and grow client relationships at the executive levelExperience leading and developing high-performing teamsExceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft and refine messaging across audiences and platformsStrong existing relationships with key entertainment, trade, and business mediaAbility to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously with grace under pressureFluency with AI and LLM toolsPreferredExperience with film & television publicityFamiliarity with sports communications or league/team PRExposure to financial or alternative investment communicationsBackground working with children's entertainment brands, IP licensing, or family mediaWhat We OfferCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus performance bonusComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefitsGenerous PTO, paid holidays, and summer FridaysA collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with real opportunities for advancement
