Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor Salary: 80,000 Location: Enfield Region: London We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major Transport for London (TfL) Design & Build project involving the construction of a new wheel lathe facility. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key commercial role on a high-profile rail infrastructure project being delivered under an NEC3 Option C Target Cost Contract . Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for the commercial management of civils and fit-out subcontract packages valued at approximately £6 million , while contributing to the successful delivery of the wider £32 million programme . Key Responsibilities Commercial management and administration of civils and fit-out subcontract packages Supporting the Commercial Lead with project cost reporting, forecasting, and financial controls Management, assessment, and negotiation of change control and compensation events under NEC3 Option C Preparation and review of subcontract valuations, payments, and variations Assisting with procurement activities, tender evaluations, and appointment of remaining work packages Cost management throughout the project lifecycle, including final account agreement Monitoring project performance against target cost and budget objectives Working collaboratively with project delivery, design, planning, and client teams to achieve commercial and operational objectives Supporting risk and opportunity management processes Ensuring contractual compliance and robust commercial governance Candidate Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within rail, infrastructure, civils, or major construction projects Strong working knowledge of NEC3 contracts , particularly Option C Target Cost Experience managing compensation events and change control processes Background in Design & Build project environments Excellent commercial acumen with strong reporting and forecasting skills Experience managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account settlement Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities #J-18808-Ljbffr
