The candidate we seek will possess expertise in general construction, carpentry, masonry/stucco repair, waterproofing and painting. POSITION OVERVIEW Our Tradesman works in collaboration with our Superintendents, Project Managers, Director of Operations and Support Staff. You will be responsible for performance of trades listed above in a skilled, efficient and quality manner. We take pride in our workmanship. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: On-site and ready to work by 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. From time-to-time overtime opportunity may be available as job(s) requires. Self-performing repairs in an efficient, cost effective manner with quality of work as their top priority Sourcing and purchasing materials needed for job specific repairs Photo documenting needed repairs and reporting job status updates to supervisor Provide your own tools and transportation Monitors day-to-day job site safety, security and cleanliness Reports to Project Superintendent/Manager any discoveries outside of scope of work (damages, rot, change orders) Reports any issues, delays, accidents or other incidents to Superintendent/Project Manager Reports any emergencies or requests of client to Superintendent/Project Manager COMPENSATION We provide a competitive compensation and benefits package to all employees. Benefits : Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule : Job Type: Full-time 8 hour shift Experience : Construction Experience: 2 years (Preferred) Carpentry: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification : Driver's License (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Orange County, CA (Preferred) Work Location: In person Location: Orange, CA Department: Field Crew Employment Type: Full-Time Minimum Experience: Experienced Compensation: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour Requirements: The ideal candidate should possess the following skills/experience: 5-7 years of hands-on general construction experience, preferably in multi-family dwelling reconstruction Highly knowledgeable in carpentry construction trades, practices, regulations and safety compliance Proven hands-on carpentry experience Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques, materials and methods of installation and construction Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times Able to read, interpret, comprehend architectural/engineered drawings, plans and other technical documents Good understanding of basic math Preferably bi-lingual but not required (English/Spanish) Maintains a personable, approachable, friendly demeanor with all associates, clients and colleagues. Maintains a clean, professional, personal appearance Very responsive and able to multi-task or make changes based on the day-to-day needs of the project Excellent problem solving and critical thinking ability Reliable transportation and a clean driving background
