Job Summary and Qualifications Full‑time (Monday‑Friday, day shift – no nights, no on‑call, no weekends, no holidays). Seeking a Physical Therapist who plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. We would like you to apply today! What you will do in this role: Review physicians' referral and patient records to determine physical therapy treatment required. Test and measure patients' strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and record findings to develop or revise treatment programs. Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on evaluation of patient data. Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function. Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to perform various physical activities and in the use of assistive and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses. Administer treatments involving application of physical agents. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Administer massage. Administer traction to relieve pain. Record treatment, response, and progress in patients' chart or enter information into computer. Instruct patients and families in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modification to orthoptist. Confere with physicians and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patients' health care. Orient, instruct, and direct work activities of assistants, aides, and students. Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups. Plan and develop physical therapy research programs and participate in conducting research. Education Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy. Experience Three or more years of experience desired. Certification/License Must possess a current physical therapy license.
