Position: Mergers & Acquisitions Associate (Attorney) Experience: 3-5 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Overview A leading AmLaw firm is seeking a midlevel Mergers & Acquisitions Associate to join its Corporate practice in its San Francisco office. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated middle-market M&A transactions, advising private companies, strategic buyers and sellers, and investors across a variety of industries. Responsibilities Support buy-side and sell-side middle-market M&A transactions for private companies and strategic investors Assist with transaction structuring, due diligence, negotiations, and closing processes Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, ancillary agreements, and other transaction documents Coordinate due diligence reviews and manage transaction workstreams Advise clients on corporate governance and general transactional matters Collaborate with attorneys across tax, real estate, employment, intellectual property, and technology transactions to support complex deals Qualifications 3-5 years of M&A experience at a law firm Experience representing private companies in mergers and acquisitions preferred Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment J.D. from an accredited law school Admission, or eligibility for admission in California The expected salary range for this position is $215,000-$290,000 , excluding bonuses.
