Hamilton County Hospital is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Syracuse, Kansas. This opportunity offers a manageable patient volume, significant physician autonomy, strong financial incentives, and an excellent work-life balance in a welcoming rural community.

Compensation & Benefits

$450,000 guaranteed annual salary
No RVU or productivity requirements
$150,000 recruitment incentive
- $75,000 at signing
- $75,000 at commencement
- Structured as a forgivable loan over 4 5 years
10 weeks paid vacation annually
Housing provided at no cost
Student loan repayment opportunities
No obstetrics

Practice Overview

Outpatient clinic: approximately 10 patients per day
Acute inpatient care: less than 1 patient per day
Skilled/swing-bed care: approximately 3 patients per day
Long-term care: approximately 13 patients per day
Emergency department: fewer than 2 visits per day

Emergency Medicine & Call

Provide ED call coverage at least 50% of the time
Remaining coverage coordinated with other providers
No in-house call
Call may be taken from anywhere within a 30-minute radius

Leadership & Autonomy

Physicians have the opportunity to play an active role in the future of healthcare in Hamilton County, including:

Serving as a member of hospital administrative and clinical leadership
Physician oversight of APPs
Participation in clinical operations, quality, staffing, and service-line development
Helping shape future patient care at Hamilton County Hospital
Working with a supportive team
