This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional ready to step into a high-level position within a growing company, while enjoying the lifestyle of Northwest Florida. Key Responsibilities Manage all accounting operations related to construction projects Oversee month-end and year-end closings Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards Handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and job costing Perform variance control and job-level variance analysis Review balance sheets and P&L statements to ensure accuracy Work closely with project managers to maintain accurate job cost tracking Support audits, tax filings, and financial reporting Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5–10 years of accounting experience, with a construction background Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 300, etc.) Strong analytical skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions Experience with job costing, variance control, and WIP reporting Comfortable working at a higher level beyond basic bookkeeping No CPA required Preferred Qualifications CPA or CMA certification Prior experience managing an accounting team Additional Information Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to Walton County, Florida Relocation assistance may be provided Interested in hearing more?
