Help our youngest learners start strong! Join our teams at Hillside or Rice Early Childhood as an Early Learning Tutor, and you can help students discover the joy of learning and prepare for kindergarten.
Early Learning Tutors serve during the school day and spend their time helping students aged 3-5 talk, read, write, sing, and play. With training and support from an onsite coach, you'll use activities proven to help kids build early reading and math skills. This is a paid AmeriCorps member position with Early Learning Corps. No teaching experience is required! All you need is a desire to help kids succeed. By giving your time as a tutor, you can make an incredible impact and help more kids make a strong start in school.
Tutor Perks
• A paycheck every two weeks
• Additional money for college tuition or student loans. Tutors aged 55 and older may gift this to their child, grandchild, stepchild, step-grandchild, or foster child
• Child care assistance - based on family size and income
• Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment
• Predictable schedule - daytime hours with no evenings or weekends
