Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Orthopedics

Schedule
- Shift: Nights - 3 x 12-hour (1845-07:15)
- Every other weekend required

Assignment Details
- Length: 13-week contracts accepted

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of med-surg orthopedic experience
- BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients in a surgical orthopedic unit.
- Monitor and manage patients' postoperative recovery, including total joint replacements and spinal surgeries.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about recovery processes and discharge planning.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including isolation precautions and the use of personal protective equipment.

Compliance / Notes
- Medical or religious exemptions are allowed for flu vaccination.
- Candidate must complete required lab testing within 48 hours after signing.
- No RTO after booking is allowed; any call-offs may lead to cancellation.
- Non-billable modules expected (approx. 2-10 hours).
