Position Summary
This is a full-time hybrid position based in Portland, Oregon. The Strategic Communications Partner is a key member of the Strategic Communications team, responsible for building and protecting the reputation of all brands within the Moda Partners family of companies. This role supports engagement across multiple audience groups through the development and execution of effective communication strategies. 

Pay Range
$71,990.85 - $96,691.01 annually (depending on experience)
*Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

Required Skills, Experience & Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field or equivalent experience.
2. 5+ years’ experience in strategic marketing and/or communications.
3. Strong writing and editing skills, with proficiency in AP style.
4. Ability to lead medium-sized campaigns and projects requiring strategic planning, cross-functional alignment, and budget management.
5. Ability to articulate communication strategies and incorporate stakeholder feedback effectively.
6. Proficiency in MS Office, intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite, experience with marketing project management software.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent company values and brand standards both internally and externally.
8. Demonstrated project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
9. Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen communications and elevate the quality and impact of work.

Preferred Skills, Experience & Education:

1. Video production experience, including concepting, scripting and vendor management.
2. Intermediate proficiency in Marketo.
3. 2+ years of experience in media relations and crisis communications.
4. 2+ years of experience in online reputation management.
5. 2+ years of experience in event and sponsorship communications.
6. Proficiency with Sprout Social, or other social media management platforms.
7. Healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred.

Primary Functions :

1. Develop Communication Strategies
   Develop integrated communication strategies in partnership with audience owners and business stakeholders to drive engagement across multiple audience groups. Conduct research and information gathering, translate insights into strategic recommendations, and align teams around objectives, audiences, messaging, and channels.
2. Bridge Strategy and Creative Execution
   Develop robust, inspiring creative briefs and lead strategic briefings that translate business and communications objectives into clear creative opportunities. Serve as a bridge between strategy and creative execution, providing context, direction, and audience insight to enable strong, on-brand work.
3. Lead Integrated Campaigns and Projects
   Lead cross-functional communications campaigns and projects from strategy through execution, collaborating with creative partners, subject matter experts, digital teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality work that supports business outcomes.
4. Drive Creative Strategy and Collaboration
   Facilitate brainstorming and creative strategy sessions, providing strong creative judgment and ensuring communications solutions reflect strategic objectives, audience needs, brand standards, and best practices.
5. Develop and Manage Content
   Write, edit, and coordinate content across communication strategies, campaigns, and internal communications initiatives, ensuring messaging is clear, compelling, consistent, and aligned with brand standards.
6. Measure Impact and Optimize Performance
   Develop and deliver proof-of-performance reporting that measures project success, impact, ROI, and key learnings. Use insights and performance data to optimize future strategies, content, and campaigns.
7. Manage Projects, Budgets, and Partners
   Manage project timelines, budgets, status reporting, and communications to ensure effective execution. Lead internal project status meetings and manage external vendors as needed, including developing Statements of Work (SOWs), overseeing deliverables, and ensuring quality and brand alignment.
8. Provide Strategic Communications Leadership
   Serve as a communications subject matter expert across the organization, connecting initiatives and audiences, identifying opportunities for proactive communications, supporting a seamless customer journey, and strengthening brand reputation.
9. Lead Internal Communications
   Lead internal communications initiatives in partnership with business and functional teams, developing and disseminating content that informs, engages, and supports organizational priorities.
10. Support Media and Crisis Communications
    Support Manager, Strategic Communications with proactive and reactive media relations and crisis communications, applying sound judgment and established communications practices.
11. Drive Social Media Strategy and Content
    Identify, develop, and optimize social media content that supports broader communication strategies and audience engagement goals.
12. Advance Communications Excellence
    Stay informed on communications trends, emerging channels, and industry best practices to continuously elevate the strategic value, creativity, and effectiveness of the Strategic Communications team.
13. Perform Other Duties as Assigned

• Office environment with extensive close PC and keyboard use, constant sitting, and frequent phone communication. Must be able to navigate multiple computer screens. A reliable, high-speed, hard-wired internet connection required to support remote or hybrid work. Must be comfortable being on camera for virtual training and meetings. Work in excess of standard workweek, including evenings and occasional weekends, to meet business need.
