Construction Estimator

Duties and Responsibilities:Distribute, obtain, and utilize Site Condition Reports for budget purposes.Generate proof reports for starts.Generate finalized budgets and start packages for new startsPrepare and distribute start packages for the field and office on a weekly basisMaintain option cost for options per-Change OrdersGenerate Cost per-Square Foot reports/downloads and review them for accuracy weeklyProcess Change of Vendor requests/approvals within Purchasing GuidelinesSet up and maintain P Cost Center data in JD EdwardsGenerate and review purchasing data for month-end reports (Cost/Square Foot, COP, etc.)Distribute the Cost per-Square Foot Comparison to Division Management monthlyMaintain the Community Books for all active communitiesCorrections of problem commitments in JD Edwards, including Takeoff Changes from Field Verification Managers are the responsibility of the PA. Inform Field Verification Managers upon completionWork with Suppliers/Trade Partners to resolve old invoices, as necessaryMaintain organization of home files and Supplier/Trade Partner filesWork with Trade Partners to meet all insurance requirements, as well as all contracts, scopes, and other miscellaneous documents signed and filedCreate files for newly-contracted Trade PartnersMaintain cost histories and pricing dataProduce design evolution and value engineering logsCoordinate estimating process with management and Estimators and provide feedback on project pricing issuesWork well in a team environmentDevelop qualifications and assumptions for estimates and present comparisons of current estimates versus previousMaintain files for all active Trade PartnersAct as the liaison between IDS (Insurance Data Services) and the DivisionsMonitor the information in the IDS system for accuracyRun monthly reports on compliance and distribute to the DivisionsCreate and distribute waivers as by the DivisionsUpdate contract packages, as necessaryExpedite extra-material orders to the fieldCall Construction Managers for clarification on orders, when necessaryPrint and distribute Extra Order Report weekly for review by the Project Manager, and Field Verification Manager(s)Research and resolve expediting issues as they ariseAssist Suppliers/Trade Partners with billing issues as they ariseKeep Design Coordinator and/or Field Verification Manager posted on issues when necessaryComplete weekly Extras Report and distributeComplete Back Charge Invoices, when necessaryCompile information from semi-annual reviews and distributeBachelor’s degree is required2 years of office experience is preferredComputer literate with the ability to work with Windows, Excel, and WordProfessionally perform multiple, detailed-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlinesAdvanced communication skillsGood writing and organization skillsPossess a strong work ethic, integrity, and loyaltyTeam player with the ability to work well under pressureBilingual English/Spanish preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
