SAVI EHS Wenatchee, Washington, United States (On-site) Safety Manager (Temp-to-Hire) Wenatchee, Washington (On-Site) Immediate Opening | Temp-to-Hire | Local Preferred | Travelers Welcome SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a major construction project in Wenatchee, Washington. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional looking to transition into a long-term leadership role with a respected General Contractor. Local candidates are preferred; however, qualified travelers are encouraged to apply. Travelers are eligible for a $1,000 weekly per diem. Compensation $45.00 - $50.00/hourly Assignment Duration: 1–6 months (Temp-to-Hire) Direct Hire Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually (based on experience) W-2 role Schedule Second Shift Typical schedule is 2:00pm – 12:00am for 3-4 months then back to daytime operations 6:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility based on project needs. Position Summary The Safety Manager serves as the on-site Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) leader, partnering with project management, subcontractors, and craft personnel to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This individual will lead safety initiatives, conduct field audits, mentor project teams, and drive continuous improvement while promoting a proactive safety culture. Responsibilities Lead all on-site safety activities for assigned construction projects. Conduct daily field inspections, safety observations, and compliance audits. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client safety requirements. Review and approve Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and pre-task plans. Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions. Deliver new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and site-specific safety training. Support project management during preconstruction planning and throughout all phases of construction. Monitor subcontractor compliance and provide coaching to improve safety performance. Participate in OSHA inspections and client safety meetings. Track leading and lagging safety indicators and prepare project safety reports. Promote a positive safety culture through leadership, accountability, and employee engagement. Serve as the primary safety resource for project leadership, field personnel, and subcontractors. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience. Experience supporting commercial, industrial, mission-critical, manufacturing, utility, or heavy civil construction projects. OSHA 30 Construction (Required) OSHA 500 (Preferred) CHST, CSP, ASP, STSC, STS-C, or other BCSP certification (Preferred) First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Strong understanding of: Fall Protection Excavation & Trenching Electrical Safety & Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Cranes & Rigging Scaffolding Confined Space Entry Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
