Interview Requirement: In-person interview required Application Security Consultant - Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Application Security Consultant to strengthen enterprise application security across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevOps environments. This on-site role supports product teams, infrastructure, and cybersecurity leadership through security assessments, architecture reviews, and advanced security controls. Application Security Consultant Responsibilities
- Conduct application security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and secure architecture evaluations.
- Configure, onboard, tune, and monitor Akamai and Cloudflare WAF platforms .
- Strengthen security practices across SDLC, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines .
- Optimize application security tools, security controls, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Provide technical guidance, security coaching, and recommendations.
- Establish repeatable security processes, governance frameworks, and performance metrics.
- Strong experience in Application Security, DevSecOps, and secure software development .
- Hands-on expertise with Akamai and Cloudflare Web Application Firewalls (WAF) .
- Experience conducting application security assessments and architecture reviews.
- Knowledge of cloud security, web application protection, and vulnerability management.
- Strong technical communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with security automation and CI/CD integrations.
- Familiarity with security governance, security metrics, and tooling optimization.
- Must work 100% on-site in New York, NY.
- In-person interview is mandatory.
- Must be available for the full 1-year contract.
